Welcome to Frösåker Golf and Country Club
Situated on the shoreline of picturesque Lake Mälaren, Frösåker Golf and Country Club is rated as one of Sweden’s best places for playing golf.
In 2008, Frösåker Golf & Country Club will be the host for the best women golfers in the world, as the Scandinavien TPC hosted by Annika Sorenstam will take place on this challenging and scenic golf course.
Located less then one hour´s drive from Stockholm, Frösåker Golf and Country Club is ranked as one of Sweden’s best golf destinations. Whether entertaining your foursome or hosting a large tournament, Frösåker Golf and Country Club is ready with the capability and hospitality needed for a friendly round or the most competitive tournament event. The combination of scenery, playability and amenability at Frösåker makes it a great choice for visitors and locals alike.
Established in 1989, Frösåker Golf & Country Club quickly became a favorite of Swedish golfers and is one of the best places for playing golf in Sweden.
There are few courses in Sweden where water is used to such a degree. The lake dominates one side of the course with the lakeside holes reminding you of a seaside layout. The back nine at Frösåker has only two holes where water is not a factor. The water is used for protection of the greens with diabolical success, especially numbers 10, 14 and the devilish number 15.
Frösåker has been the host of the Vasterås Open four times since 1997.
Several final rounds of The Telia Tour have been played here and, in August of 2008, the best female golfers in the world will challenge Frösåker when it will be the host of the Scandinavien TPC hosted by Annika Sorenstam.
Golf editors in newspapers like Aftonbladet and the magazine Golf Digest have ranked Frösåker among the top five golf courses in Sweden. Frösåker was also one out of only thirty courses chosen for the book, "The Swedish Golf Experience", published by the Swedish Golf Federation.
